S-Squared 3D Printers unveils patent-pending Autonomous Robotic Construction System

S-Squared 3D Printers (SQ3D), a 3D printer manufacturing and service company based out of Long Island, NY., has introduced its patent pending Autonomous Robotic Construction System (ARCS). According to the company, this specialized 3D printer outperforms traditional construction by reducing both time and cost up to 70%.

"Our mission is to revolutionize the construction industry forever," stated the company. "We strive to reinvent how mankind handles the building of everything from homes to roads and bridges. This kind of outside-the-box thinking and solutions will reduce environmental impact, cut overhead costs, save lives and prevent injuries."

Taking the core principles of 3D printing, SQ3D apply it to large scale projects and builds. The ARCS system is a safe, effective, and eco-friendly way to build construction. It is capable of printing structure range from 500 square feet to over 1 million square feet. According to SQ3D, the 3D printed structures are impervious to water and are fire and mold resistant and can withstand severe weather. All structures built with ARCS have a structural integrity that can last a century and require little maintenance.

ARCS is mobile and safely sets up in as little as six hours. "OSHA instructors have praised this machine for its potential to reduce some of the most common injuries associated with construction," stated SQ3D in a press release.

S-Squared 3D plans on building a network of hundreds of ARCS machines. "Our humanitarian goal is to create homes for the less fortunate and impoverished regions," the company said. "Construction costs in these third world countries can be as little as $1,000 for a 500 square foot home. These homes will be built with the potential to withstand hurricanes, tornadoes and virtually any Act of God."
